Founded by Hisako Tanaka-Ross. Still hand-grafted. Still family-run.
In 1978, Hisako Tanaka-Ross cleared a quarter-acre of pastureland outside Woodburn and grafted her first forty roses onto Dr. Huey rootstock. Forty-seven years later, the same family tends the same farm — now fourteen acres, now nine master grafters averaging twenty-two years of experience each, and now home to three hundred and twelve cultivars that you will not find at a garden center.
We are intentionally small-batch. Every plant leaving the farm has been touched by hand, inspected twice, and shipped dormant-root so it arrives ready to break dormancy in your garden. We do not push volume; we push fidelity.
